First collected edition, hardcovers in full contemporary calf, 1764-1769, octavo, 345pp., 392pp., and 399pp., illustrated with portraits and plates. Books ex-library with only indication being small Hunt Library stamps to rear endpapers, otherwise books VG with some wear to outer hinges that includes splitting in leather, spine ends and corners worn, rubbing to raised bands on spines, title and volume bands legible, front board of third volume tender but holding, armorial bookplates to front pastedowns, otherwise texts clean and unmarked with toning and mild foxing. In protective mylar wraps. The third volume, which appeared in 1769, is distinctly rare. Poetry, prose, landscape theory, etc. First collected edition includes previously unpublished work.
