Octavos, 6 volumes; VG; bound in matching 3/4 brown calf, marbled boards, paneled spines with gilt stamping, two black labels with gilt titling; mild rubbing and shelfwear; all volumes with mylar coverings; text block and endpapers marbled; Robert W. Upton's book plate on front pastedowns;
This set also includes a carte de visite depicting Daniel Webster, with his name stamped at the bottom edge. The name "Emily" appears on the verso written in brown ink.
EF consignment; shelved above case 1. This set formerly belonged to Robert William Upton, former U.S. Senator from New Hampshire and Ambassador to Liberia. 1336035. Shelved Dupont Bookstore.
