About This Item
Doubleday & Page, 1/1/1921. Second Edition. Hardcover. Acceptable. Signed. Interesting inscription by author with a swipe at Wilson reads: "I would call this "My eight years as President" by Woodrow Wilson in collaboration Joseph P. Tumulty." Red leather. Some loss, chipping to leather spine, shaken. First few pages heavily foxed. Joseph P Tumulty was President Woodrow Wilson's private secretary from 1911-1921. He served with Wilson in New Jersey and later became his White House Chief of Staff. During the negotiations for the treaty of Versailles and especially after Wilson's stroke, Tumulty took on much of the day to day White House management.
