About This Item

Belvedere CA: Swans Island Books / Madeleine Corson Design, 1997. Paperback. 110p., fine-arts presswork and materials, softbound in 12x9 inch frenchfold wraps, a lovingly produced item complete in itself (apart from volume one which we cannot provide). Commpilers paid close attention to the selection of paintings that accompany the texts and photos, excellent stuff about which we are not knowledgeable. Great copy, sound, clean and unmarked. Contributors to this volume include John Steinbeck (excerpt from Tortilla Flat on the gradual consumption of a bottle of beer) and Hoover Institution Archives (flour). David Mas Masumoto offers thoughts on farming.
