New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1912. First edition. 8vo. xvi, 246 pp. Illustrated from photographs, plates, maps, one folding. Inscribed by the author in the month of publication on the front endpaper "Herbert Parsons / from his friend / C. Sheldon / September 26, 1912." Parsons (1869-1925) was Sheldon's classmate at Yale (they both graduated in 1890) and served three terms as a congressman from New York, 1905-1911. Phillips, p. 342. Heller 358: "The islands included Vancouver, Montague, Queen Charlotte, and Admiralty." Very good. Original decorated gilt-stamped green cloth, t.e.g. (#4788).
