Oblong octavo, pictorial cover; price-clipped dj with a new price of 9.95 on a white sticker at the bottom of the front flap, small break at bottom of rear panel of dj, some small rubbed spots. Very Scarce - especially signed and with a sketch.
Impersonally inscribed by Susan Jeffers on the half-title page, incorporating the half-title, "with love from / Wild Robin / Susan Jeffers / 1984" with her ink sketch of a horse's head. "Robin hates the chores he must do around the house until he is kidnapped to fairyland where there is nothing to do but play." His faithful sister, Janet, has to rescue him. Based in the Scottish ballad, "Tamlane"

Joyce And Company has been in business as a professional rare bookseller and appraiser since 1975. Owner Thomas Joyce was the regular book appraiser on Home & Garden TV\'s \"The Appraisal Fair\\\" program, on international broadcasts. Thomas Joyce was the co-discoverer of George Washington's personal copy of William Leybourn's 1679 edition of THE COMPLEAT SURVEYOR, from which young Washington learned some of his surveying skills at age 16. The book had vanished for nearly a century until its re-discovery in 2017. It is now back at Mt. Vernon.
