About This Item

Warszawa: superNOWA 1994-2017, 1994. Book. Very Good. Soft cover. Signed by Author(s). 1st Edition. Complete set of the Witcher series in Polish,9 first editions, 2 second editions (please see below), including a volume of "Czas Pogardy" inscribed and signed by the author: "Dla Pana Janusza, Sapkowski, Lodz, 30.10.95." The set includes 10 volumes (Wiedzmin, Ostatnie Zyczenie, Miecz Przeznaczenia (2nd ed), Krew Elfow (2nd ed), Czas Pogardy, Chrzest Ognia, Wieza Jaskolki, Pani Jeziora, Sezon Burz, Szpony i Kly) and one extra volume "Swiat Krola Artura, Maladie." It also includes one magazine, "Fantastyka" - the Polish monthly "Fantastyka" from December 1986, containing the first printed edition of the short story "Wiedzmin" (later used as the opening of the saga in the first volume of the series). The story was printed on seven pages as a submission for the monthly competition, which it won. The whole adventure with the Witcher world begins with this edition. "Wiedzmin" was published by Reporter in 1990 - the first book edition of the Witcher, containing five stories published in the pages of "Fantastyka" magazine from 1986-1990. The first two volumes - "Ostatnie Zyczenie" and "Miecz Przeznaczenia" - are collections of thirteen short stories and serve as an introduction to the world of the Witcher. Additionally, the second volume of stories is a rare edition illustrated by Boguslaw Polch. This New York Times bestselling series inspired the international hit video game, The Witcher, and the upcoming premiere of the series produced by Netflix. The set features original illustrated covers with titles on the spine and front cover. Some of the volumes have soiled covers; edges are slightly tanned; else, it is a very nice set..
