An intimate examination of the personal character of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and how it influenced his famous Sherlock Holmes novels. With many monochrome illustrations throughout. First edition. In a full cloth binding with unclipped dustwrapper protected by Brodart wraps. Externally, excellent with very minor shelfwear only. Dustwrapper a little rubbed in places but otherwise very smart. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with just a few occasional spots. Near Fine
