About This Item
1968. BRUMFIELD, Kirby. THIS WAS WHEAT FARMING. A Pictorial History Of The Farms And Farmers Of The Northwest Who Grow The Nation's Bread. Seattle: Superior Publishing Company, [1968]. Small quarto, grey cloth stamped in black. First Edition. A very nice, pictorial history on a subject close to the author's heart. Brumfield was a Montana rancher who wanted to preserve the romance and history of the early wheat field farmers in the region. Signed by Brumfield on the half-title page. While this book is not uncommon- it was reprinted by Bonanza Books- copies of the first edition signed by the author are uncommon. Very Good condition (minor wear; contents clean & tight). $125.00.
