About This Item
London: H. K. Lewis, 1893. Seventh Edition . Cloth. Fair. 32mo - over 4 - 5" tall. Interesting and useful book in its original 19th century, pocket-sized form. Maroon cloth with titling in gilt to upper board and spine. Decorative endpapers. The binding is outwardly attractive with gilt bright, minor rippling to cloth on upper board, light rubbing and bumping to extremities. Sadly, the back hinge has split completely, with the free endpaper detached; and the front hinge has split partially. The endpapers and adjoining pages are browned but the book is generally clean with an 1893 inscription to the front pastedown, and age-toning to the pages edges with a few marks, small tears and creases. This is the seventh edition of 1893. It was an understandably popular book in its time and few have survived their heavy usage. 32mo - over 4 - 5" tall. Additional photos available on request or these may be viewed on my listing. All orders professionally packed, tracked and/or signed for, and insured.
