Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1948. First edition.. Fine (new) copy.. Pp. 8; 18 full page maps. 1 text-figure. Publisher's original printed gray wrappers, lg 4to (12 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches). Discovery Reports volume 25. No ownership marks. Blue, fin and humpback whales were tagged with darts that embed in the blubber; these darts are retrieved when the whales were cut apart by commercial whalers.
