London: Frederick W arne & Co Ltd, 1948. Original Cloth. Very Good/Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Three volumes from the Wayside and Woodland Series. First, Second and Third Series. Reprints published 1947 and 1948. Gilt embossed vignette of blossom and lettering to the front boards and lettering to the spines. Illustrated with many numerous full page charming colour plates to each volume. A slight bump to the head of the spines of the first and second series. Neat ink name inscription to the reverse of the front end paper of all volumes. Light foxing to the fore edges of the third series volume. Otherwsie these books are fresh and clean. All dust wrappers are not price clipped. Light fading to the spines of the wrappers. Rubbing to the wrapper at the head and tail of the spines. Two 1.5 cm tears from the edges of the wrapper of first series; A couple of slight niks to the edges of the wrapper of second series; three tears of 2 cm; 1.5 cm and 1 cm respectively to the edge of the wrapper of thrid series. The tears have some associated creasing. Light foxing to the reverse of the wrappers . A light crease to the front and rear inner flyleafs of series three wrapper. Clean and tight. A very good set.
