About This Item
Chicago, Illinois: R. R. Donnelley & Sons Company, 1932. Hardcover. Very Good/None. Wau-Bun is one of the most important books on early Chicago and is the main source of the story of the Fort Dearborn Massacre, and certainly no book treating of that period of local Chicago history has been written with more charm. It was published as the 1932 Lakeside Classic as a sort of a prelude to the year of Centennial Jubilee of Chicago. Book itself is now housed in an archival quality cover. 609 pages. Clean & tight. The book has some wear on the spine, particularly at the bottom where the words The Lakeside Press are located, still very good. Nice copy of an increasing scarce Lakeside Classic. Desirable.
