Illustrated with frontispiece and eight plates. Collated complete. A study of the war in Crimea, from the events leading up to conflict, through the Battle of the Alma and the Battle of Inkerman, to the destruction of Sebastopol and the close of the war. Written by Lieutenant General Sir Edward Bruce Hamley, a British general and military writer and a Conservative politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1885 to 1892. In the original red cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear only. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with age toning to the first and last few pages. Very Good
