Covering such picturesque areas as Ross, Plinlimmon, Hafod, Aberystwith, Chepstow, Tenby, Carmarthen, Pont y Pridd, Brecon, Pembroke and Carew Castle, to name a few.Written by Thomas Roscoe, an English writer and translator known for travel works on Italy, Switzerland, the Isle of Wight and Belgium, as well as this work.A later edition of this popular and successful work.Illustrated with fifty engravings as well as a folding map frontispiece. Collated, complete.A smart copy of this work, bound in the original cloth with gilt detail to the spine and blind stamping to the boards. In the original full cloth binding. Externally very smart, with just some slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine and a little cockling to the boards. Previous bookseller's marks in pencil to the contents page and front blank. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with just the slightest age-toning to the edges. Very Good
