An early printing of this work, which was first published in 1914. This edition dated 1916 to tail of final leaf.In a very scarce price unclipped dust wrapper. Contemporary dust wrappers of this title are very scarce.In Haggard's novel Olaf, an eighth century Norseman flees his homeland after challenging the Norse god Odin's right to a human sacrifice. After many thrilling events, Olaf's adventures are woven within the intrigues of the Eastern Roman Empire. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. Discolouration to back strip, with light shelf wear to spine tail. Losses of paper to back strip head and tail, with significant loss to rear wrap tail, and further loss to front wrap head. Significant closed tear to head of front wrap. Tape repairs to wrapper reverse at tail of rear wrap and head of front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages age toned due to paper type, but clean. Very Good
