A charming, signed and limited first edition of this collection of nature short stories by Henry Williamson. A first limited edition copy of this work by Henry Williamson. This edition was limtied to five hundred and four copies, with this being numbered 331. Signed by the author. The Village Book is a collection of fifty five stories illustrating the spirit of the village in Winter and Spring and the air and light of the fields and the sea in winter and spring. Henry Williamson was an English writer who wrote on themes of nature, ruralism and English social history. With a frontispiece of the author with his two spaniels. In quarter vellum binding with green cloth covered boards. Externally, very smart with some fading to the rear board and some marks to the spine. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Some pages remain unopened. Very Good Indeed
