The first reprint of this work, punlished two years after the first edition. Held in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Written by Mark Girouard the notable architectural writer who publisher numerous works of historical design. This particular work explores the history of the Victorian Country House. Illustrated throughout, with a folding plate to the rear of the volume. A lovely work of design history exploring the preferred style in Britain in the 19th century. In the publisher's cloth binding and held in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally generally smart. with light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Patches of lightly rubbing to the extremities. Light spots to the top edge. Dustwrapper is bumped to the head and tail of the spine, with a tear and a small amount of loss to the head of the spine. Light rubbing to the extremities. Tear to the front hinge. Light age toning internal to the wrap to the extremities. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
