Very Good. very good red cloth hardcover (no dust jacket) with gilt to cover and spine shows soiling to covers, rubbing and bumping to cover edges and corners, penciled gift inscription at top of front endpaper, bit of soil at page edges with the occasional small open chip here and there and some other mild trace wear. 396 pages with black & white plate illustrations by Louis Loeb and top page edges gilt and followed by other title adverts. Still a solid copy of this early printing of the noted turn of the century novel.
