Edinburgh: David Douglas, 1899. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo, xxix + pp248 plus 14 b/w plates with illustrated title page engraved from a photograph by Oswin A. J. Lee and 1 pull out colour map at rear in near fine condition. Hardcover no dust jacket. Original green buckram binding with gilt lettering to spine in good/very good condition with a little shelf wear to top and tail of spine and a small nick to spine. Inside all rough cut pages and plates with top edge gilt in excellent clean and bright condition with no aging or foxing at all. A very nice copy indeed.
