Signed by Crane on front free endpaper with inscription, "For Alice Woodward - The rose dissolved. Is Nearer than a star; Nathalia Crane. Brooklyn, Jan 31, 1935." Possibly inscribed to the illustrator Alice Woodward, though we have not been able to verify this.
Octavo. 90 pages. Illustrated dust jacket with $2.50 price present. Illustrated paper-covered boards with gilt lettering to spine.
Dust jacket toned and rubbed along edges. Boards cracked at corners with moderate shelfwear along bottom edge. Binding is sound and pages unmarked.
