Published by Konemann, Cologne, 1997, 2nd impression of first edition. Two volume set in publishers slipcase. Black cloth boards, gilt lettering to spine and front board under pictorial dustwrapper. Each volume 12.5ins x 10.75ins. Volume one (Artistic history): 457pp. Volume two (17th to 20th centuries): pps 463 to 920. Both volumes illustrated in colour throughout with exceptional photographs by Piero Codato and Massimo Venchierutti. Some fold out plates in volume two. Both volumes F in F dw's. Slip case a little rubbed to base. NB very heavy set (over 6kg), not suitable for overseas postage.
