About This Item
Book is in G+ to VG condition. Edges and spine of cover have spots of sun bleaching, but text and interior is bright and unmarked. Former owner's name is written in ink on frontispiece. On page before title page, author wrote: "With Warm Regards Ann F. Ramenofsky 10/25/96" Dust cover is VG. Examines the techniques for estimating population size among precontact Native Americans and their strengths and weaknesses. Then presents several test cases from different parts of North America. The final part of the book discusses diseases and how they spread and develop into epidemics. These factors are then used to critique some of the hypotheses about effects of early European contact developed in the 1980s
