Book is novel inspired by the life of Lev Termen, the Russian scientist and creator of the theremin. 347 pp plus: Postscript, Author's Note and Acknowledgements. Book was scheduled to go on sale April, 2014 and went on to win The Giller prize for 2014! As close to a ' first state ' printing as one is likely to find. Book does not have the French flaps of the published edition. Collectible. Book has surface and light edge wear. 2.) Same title, first edition, 3rd printing, Fine (small sticker shadow on front panel, ow as new), flatSIGNED by author in blue ink. This copy carries Giller Prize FINALIST designation on front panel and has French flaps. Bookseller's Inventory # 225451.
Synopsis
Sean Michaels was born in Stirling, Scotland, in 1982. Raised in Ottawa, he eventually settled in Montreal, founding Said the Gramophone , one of the earliest music blogs. He has since spent time in Edinburgh and Kraków, written for the Guardian and McSweeney’s , toured with rock bands, searched the Parisian catacombs for Les UX, and received 2 National Magazine Awards.
