HENRY B. PLANT (1819-1899). Plant was an American businessman in the railroad industry. He owned many southern rail lines through his Plant System. TLS. 1pg. May 24, 1898. Tampa, Florida. A typed letter signed “H. B Plant” as President of the Plant System of railroad lines, on the company’s letterhead. Plant wrote to the A. E. Justice Company of Pittsburgh. “Gentlemen: -- I am in receipt of your favor of 20th inst., and regret that it will not be consistent for me to furnish you the transportation requested. Yours truly, H. B Plant President”. It is in fine condition.
