Together with the original typed mailing envelope, stamped with a 3 cent Thomas Jefferson coil stamp and postmarked New York, N.Y., March 13, 1954. With Hoover's return address as The Towers, The Waldorf Astoria, New York 22, New York on the back flap. To Miss Cecilia Belanger, P.O. Box 103, North Vassalboro, Maine. ".That was a most gracious note and I want you to know of my great appreciation." Hoover (1874-1964), born Herbert Clark Hoover, August 10, 1874, West Branch Iowa; died October 20, 1964, New York City; American; US President; Republican; 31st President of the United States (1929-33); administration dominated by early years of Great Depression. Hoover retired from the Presidency on February 25, 1933. Hoover attended Franklin Delano Roosevelt's inauguration on March 4, then moved to Palo Alto, California.. Soft cover. Very Good.
