Beginning with the Depression Era, the author "provides a chronological account of the gradual growth of Abstract Expressionism but does not lose sight of the unique contributions of individual artists to the movement." Previous owner's name and a couple small marks inked on half title page. 3/4" split between half title page and binding from bottom edge. Some pages have light spots/marks that do not affect text. Cover shows light wear, including a 2 1/2" crease in lower back cover corner and faint liquid stain outlines along the bottom edge and leading edge. ; 8 x 9 3/4
