Octavo. xii 394pp. Bound into full brown leather, marble endpapers and foredges. No maps in this volume (as issued). Front hinge is cracked and tender, still holding. Rubbing to spine and editions. This edition was edited by Thomas Rees. This is the "new edition", a reproduction in larger type and on better paper of the Philadelphia edition of 1814, ommitting "Observations on the Government of the Indians" by Lewis as well as the 8 meterological tables.
