Blue/gray covers with crisp gold lettering on spine. Comes from the private library of Audrey Harkness O'Connor. Text is clean/tight. Frontispiece shows a daguerreotype of the author by S. F. Buerling in Havana 1855. DJ is brown with white lettering/blue illustrations. Has a blue tinted photo of the above mentioned daguerreotype. DJ edges have some very emall and usual nicks/tears one of which has been recently repairred at top/bottom edges of spine due to shelf sliding. Minor age browning along DJ edges.
