Cloth over boards has light shelf wear with wear o corner tips and edge rubbing at extremities of spine, which is darkened. Gilt lettering on front is clear, a bit darkened. ; Biography of Grenville Mellen Dodge (1831-1916), Union Army officer on the frontier who served as Ulysses S. Grant's intelligence chief in the Western Theater of the Civil War along with other assignments. He later commanded U.S. troops against Native Americans, served in Congress, and helped direct the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad. Ex-Library; 8.75" (21.5 cm) tall; 371 pages.
