About This Item
Publisher's original brown cloth with gold spine lettering, octavo, pp. 307. Black and white illustrations. Author recounts experiences after living in Liberia. The book is dedicated to author's husband, John Harvey Furby, author and anthropologist in his own right, who has inscribed the book to a previous owner on the half-title page. That previous owner has removed a name/address sticker from the free front endpaper, leaving an abrasion of sorts (see image for our best attempt at a close-up), otherwise GOOD and sound with light shelf wear. Wanting the dust jacket.
