London: Hutchinson, 1962. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8.5 x 6. The interior of the book is crisp and clean, without even the name of a former owner. The brown cloth covers are show bumps to the spine and corners, but little wear else. The dust jacket is not price clipped, and shows only minor edgewear and a bit of soiling visible on the back panel. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: A giant, flame-haired Scot, Dunlop fell in love with the Canadian backwoods when he saw it as a 21 year-old medical officer during the war of 1812. Before he returned 9 years later, he had made himself famous in India as a tiger-hunter, and in England as a member of the literary circle surrounding Fraser's Magazine. When he did return, it was as an employee of John Galt's Canada Company, which opened up the Huron Tract in southwestern Ontario.
