Hungary: Cserepfalvi, 1937. Hardcover. Very Good-. Kata, Kalman. This rare copy, written in Hungarian, has been rebound by Meadland Bindery. A book of black and white photographic portraits by Hungarian photographer, Kalman Kata. Tan-coloured cloth with gilt titling on red leather spine label, red and black titling on front on an off-white cloth label, four-page preface by Moricz Zsigmond, twenty-four full-page black and white portraits, a half-page description of each of the subjects by Boldizsar Ivan, three pages of advertising and a page of photo data at back, 49 pages. Cover is immaculate, text block edges foxed, foxing spots and/or smudges on many pages primarily at page edges, faint writing (one word/name) on title page, small brown stain at edge of page 7/8, most of the plates have light wrinkles/creases and a few have light scratches/pressure marks, one plate has a half-inch closed tear and another has a one-inch closed tear to page edges which appear to have been professionally repaired; tiny brown stains at hinge on a few pages. This is a very handsome book in nice condition. Shipping charges are calculated for a standard parcel under 1 kg.
