The title comes from the poem by e.e. cummings which begins with the line, "my father moved through dooms of love," and is in part the "foreword" for Kumin's novel. The novel itself focuses on the intense conflict between a father and his college-age daughter.. 1st Edition. Hard Cover.

The edges of the spine and covers are gently faded and bumped. There is a small stain on the bottom right corner of the front board. The pages are slightly yellowed. The dust jacket is in very good condition. Mildly browned and soiled. The edges are slightly chipped. The edges and the front inside flap are slightly creased. There is a short closed tear in the top edge of the front panel. Signed by the author on the title page.
