About This Item
The terrific, zany cover by Howard Browne, reminds me of the old TWILIGHT ZONE, PEOPLE ARE ALIKE ALL OVERS, where the sole surviving human astronaut (Roddy MacDowell) thinks he is getting the VIP treatment, only to end up as a caged zoo speciman. This issue features the posthumous publication of THE DAWN OF FLAME by Stanley G. Weinbaum, ROBOT NEMESIS by E.E. Smith, and additional stories by John Taine, Otis Adelbert Kline. Not noted on the cover is a section, STARS PARADE OF AUTHORS AND ARTISTS entitled, MEET OUR SCIENCE FICTION FAMILY; being short biographies & photographis of their top contributors including, Virgil Finlay, Frank Belknap Long, Jr., Carl Jacobi, Manly Wade Wellman, Edmond Hamilton, Clifford Simak, Stanton A. Coblentz, Robert Moore Williams, Ward Hawkins, Henry Kuttner, Frank R. Paul, Arthur J. Burks, Alex Achomberg, and others; an absolutely jam packed issue. A V.g.+ copy.
