With the pencilled ownership signature on the front free endpaper of the scholar and archaeologist Neville Chittick who specialised in the historic societies of North-East Africa, and with his autograph note on the half-title and occasional marginal pencilled notes and underlinings in the text. Also he has mounted newspaper cuttings on the pastedowns and free endpapers.Cloth a little snagged at head of spine. Lower cover a little stained. Sporadic light foxing. Very good. No dustwrapper.
