About This Item

Heron Books, Geneva, Switzerland, 1981. First Edition. Softcover. Very Good Condition. Black and white illustrated author portrait as frontispiece. Black coloured textured paperback binding with red coloured decoration to the front panel; with gilt and red coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Sherlock Holmes pastiche – an actor who portrays Sherlock Holmes, Sheridan Haynes, on TV is invited to live in Baker Street where a lot of Sherlock Holmes's relics reside – particularly from his most famous cases. He decides to put on the dear stalker hat (Sheridan that is) to investigate some karate killings and he is drawn into the search for the murderer. Some are on point, but some go disastrously awry. But even though Sheridan feels a little out of time – he would prefer to be in Victorian England – he eventually solves the crime. Rubbing of the book edges and panels and the front panel has started to curl Browning to the verso of the panels. A little creasing to the top corner of the front panel and to text. first edition by this publisher. Size: 12mo (standard paperback). 222, [2] pages.. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
