About This Item

295 Pages. First edition by the full number line. The dust jacket is Not price-clipped.
This potentially ex-library book (hard to tell except for the label on the dust jacket) is a suspense-filled novel about a lady police detective and the intrigue involved in solving a brutal crime.
The book's dust jacket has four holes punched in it and a sticker near the bottom of the spine, but outside of those items, remains in Fine condition as it is enclosed in a clear plastic wrap. The interior book is in Near Fine condition with the only detriment visible being some moisture/humidity-caused waves on some of its pages. Outside of that there are no further visible detriments, distractions, or any extraneous markings throughout the book and thus all of its printing is in a well-preserved and enjoyable condition and the book's sewn-in bindings remain tight and therefore are sound.
If you should order this intrigue-filled novel from us, it will be carefully wrapped up, then boxed and padded, and mailed right away to you with insurance, and comes with our honest appreciation for your order.

Synopsis

"In his powerful, wrenching debut, Lelic takes a sadly familiar crime and delves into the equally familiar menace at its root: bullying." - People In this riveting debut novel about sexism, bullying, and the horrific effects of random acts of violence, Detective Inspector Lucia May investigates a school shooting in which a teacher has killed three pupils, another teacher, and then himself-a tragedy that could not have been predicted. It should be an openand- shut case. Yet as Lucia begins to piece together the testimonies of the various witnesses, an uglier and more complex picture emerges, calling into question the innocence of others. Brilliantly interweaving the witnesses' accounts with Lucia's own perspective, A Thousand Cuts is a narrative tour de force from a formidable new voice in fiction.
