Pushkin Press, London, 1947. Reprint. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. biographical study by translator and notes. Dark red coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. A small biographical study and translation of the mediaeval French poet François Villon. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with bumping in rubbing to the book corners. Rubbing of the lower book edges with some rubs and marks to the book panels. There is a nasty coffee cup stain to the lower right hand corner of the rear panel. Fading to the back strip with light browning and foxing of the text block edges. Age toning of the pages with offset tanning and foxing to the endpapers. Previous owner's name to the top right hand corner of the free front end page. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
