London: Chatto and Windus, 1881. Hardcover. Fine/No Jacket. 7 1/4" tall brown hardcover with black print on boards. Bumping at ends of spine area causing a bit of fraying and small tears. Very minor general shelf wear to boards. Ex-libris bookplate with name, on inside front cover. Faint store stamp on bottom of backside of ffep. Pages are tight; clean/unmarked with just a bit of age toning. 414 pages + 32 additional advertising pages. Only print info stated is "1881" on bottom of title pages. Title page: "TAVERN ANECDOTES AND SAYINGS Including The Origin of Signs and Reminiseces Connected with Taverns, Coffee Houses, Clubs, Etc. A New Edition. " Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall
