The first edition of William Hazlitt notable collection of poems Table-Talk, published in 1821. A second volume was published the following year, however this work is complete in itself. William Hazlitt is considered to be one of the greatest critics and essayists in the history of the English language alongside Samuel Johnson and George Orwell. With a continuous pagination, it is possible that the cancel leaf at S4 is present. Hazlitt offers a selection of sixteen essays which discuss topics such as art, literature and philosophy. Rebacked with a cloth spine binding over marbled boards and leather extremities, with new endpapers. externally smart with some shelf wear and rubbing to the front board, with a minor scuffing to the leather at the extremities to the front and rear boards. Internally, firmly bound. With a minor faint scattered spotting throughout. Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
