Galatia Saranti (1920 - 2009) was a Greek writer and academic. She graduated from the Arsakeio Lyceum of Patras and after that her family settled in Athens. She studied at the Law School of the University of Athens, from which he did not graduate, as she devoted herself early on to writing. She first appeared in literature in 1945 with the short story Το Κάστρο - The Castle, which was published by Nea Estia. Novels, short stories and children's books followed. Her works were translated into many languages.
