About This Item
London: Peter Davies, 1961. First edition. Cloth. Very Good Indeed/Very Good Indeed. 8" by 5.5". None. A smart first edition of Taylor's most scandalous novel, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. First edition. In a village in the Chiltern Hills, a wealthy woman named Kate has heard the rumours that her new husband Dermot, ten years her junior, has only married her for her money. A portrait of a marriage on the brink of disunion, held together by forces the outside world would not understand. Written by Elizabeth Taylor, an English novelist and short-story writer. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrapper is smart with light shelf wear to the extremities. Minor sunning to the spine and the odd very small closed tear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with the odd spot. Very Good Indeed
