Published by B.T. Batsford Ltd, London, 1941, 2nd edition. Red cloth boards, black lettering to spine, no dustwrapper. 8.75ins x 5.75ins, viii, 152pp plus colour frontis, 1pp colour plate and 52pp b&w plates (89 images in total as many two to a page). On the front free endpaper a piece of paper has been pasted over a Christmas (1943) gift inscription, but has not totally hidden it. Scattered light foxing with the half title worst affected. Externally the spine is a bit darker than the boards. G to G+.
