Edition: First Edition., Binding: Contemporary full calf boards, rebacked expertly, spine in six compartments of raised gilt-lined bands, gilt red morocco label on two. , Notes: According to Abbey, this book was highly popular, and in fact, it “was satirized in My Pocket Book, or Hints for a Ryghte Merrie and Conceited Tour. It resulted in an action for libel, with judgement for the defendant. The author of the satire was Edward Dubois, father of Tom Hood” (Abbey).
