The National Institution of the Boot and Shoe Industry, 1949. Hb, red cloth covers, no dj, 119pp, b/w frontis. and illustrations. Fair+. Covers have edgeworn corners and a couple of light marks, spine sunned/faded, endpapers browned, contents clean. History of the shoemaking industry in Norwich, from its beginnings in the medieval period through to its development in the 18th and 19th centuries as its importance grew in the city and up until the second world war and its aftermath. The appendix contains histories of five of the largest and oldest shoe manufacturers in Norwich.. Hard Cover.
