Illustrated by Robert Ayton. Pages and plates are lightly tanned and foxed throughout. Brown tape staining to pastedowns. Occasional thumb-marking present. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends. Light sunning to spine and edges. Clipped jacket has moderate edge wear with chips, tears and creasing. Tape to inside flap edges. Some dark rubbing and marking to surfaces.
