About This Item

Battle Creek, MI: Kellogg (#192), 1931. Illustrated by color line drawings and game. First edition. Stapled pamphlet, color pictorial card covers. 4to. pp. [8]. Very Good. No. 3: Jack the Giant Killer, Sleeping Beauty, The Seven Swans, The Glass Hill. Each book features 4 stories with 4 game boards, 6 colored playing tokens and a fold down spinner which can be seen with each game as the pages turn. Rear cover is Planning the Family Menu with (you guessed it) Kellogg's ready-to-eat cereals for breakfast and as "Energy Foods" at supper. The 1931 roster included Corn Flakes, Rice Crispies, Wheat Krumbles, Whole Wheat Biscuit, All-Bran and PEP Bran Flakes. Each page has a slight impression from the spinner grommet and a light vertical fold crease. The cover has light soil and edgewear, no writing or ownership and the red game token is missing..
