Macmillan and co, 1901. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1901. Reprint. 358 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt lettering and black decoration. Contains black and white illustrated frontispiece. Pages are mildly tanned and foxed, but text remains clear. Binding is firm. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Visible marking to front pastedown. Boards have heavy shelf-wear, with visible corner bumping and noticeable scuffing to edges. Spine and edges are heavily tanned, with moderate crushing, splitting and fraying to ends. Heavy marking overall, with moderate rubbing and scuffing. Noticeable forward lean.
