About This Item
Boston: Houghton Mifflin Book. Good. Hardcover. (1976), viii, 184pp. Tape remnants on front cover, else G. During a crime spree in January of 1958, Charles Raymond Starkweather, age 19, accompanied by his 14 year old girlfriend, Caril Ann Fugate, murdered ten people in eight days. After his capture, he admitted to committing another murder the previous month. Of course, it caused a huge sensation, not only because of the number of victims, but because the perpetrators had no previous records, except for traffic violations, and seemed like a normal young couple..
